Like a composer who writes a piece of music, Claudy Jongstra composes with wool, which she uses to create new colourful compositions. With her hands, she creates no fewer than ten new organically shaped artworks from which the colours splash. The wool-felted works take on the layered blue hues derived from woad.
The field of swaying, sunny yellow flowers is swarming with buzzing insects. This is how Claudy Jongstra, her interns and the farmers at Odin farm De Beersche Hoeve in Brabant encounter Yellow Chamomile when they collectively harvest this year's first pick of this biodynamically grown plant.
