In a Frisian village, situated on a mound, stands a stelp farmhouse renovated under architecture. Commissioned by the owners, Claudy Jongstra created a series of three tapestries. The wool-felted natural landscapes refer to the different viewing directions from the space and are inspired by the surroundings: the water, the skies, the light, the passing clouds and the colours. Each of the works depicts a landscape that changes mood seasonally, from fresh spring colours to sunny warm summer tones and deep brown and red autumn colours. Each time the viewer is surprised by new refined details that the artworks reveal in the ever-changing light.
