VenloVerlicht

VenloVerlicht is a special open-air exhibition that runs as a route through the centre of Venlo, Arcen and Steyl until 23 February 2025. In cleverly designed light armatures attached to lampposts, more than 50 young, unknown and established artists display their work in large light boxes. VenloVerlicht ties in with Evert Thielen's exhibition at museum van Bommel van Dam. As soon as the museum closes its doors and it gets dark, the lampposts turn on and the open-air exhibition switches on the lights. Actor Servé Hermans and Margot van Deursen, who initiated this special fringe programme on behalf of the municipality, asked Claudy Jongstra to show a work. She specially created a fitting piece of art for the exhibition entitled: 'Made in Limburg' which atmospherically lights up at night. The well-known artist is in good company: Les Deux Garçons and Ted Noten are also participating.

A QR code can be found on each fixture, offering in-depth information about the artwork and the artist.
