Art Fix Interview

Usually, you will find Claudy Jongstra's monumental artworks and architectural installations at museums the MoMA in New York, the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, or the Stedelijk in Amsterdam, in public buildings such as the OBA and the library of the University of Pennsylvania. But in an exclusive collaboration with Art Fix - a platform that aims to make contemporary art accessible to all - Jongstra launched a series of smaller, handmade, poetic landscapes of felted sheep's wool with organic textures and subtle botanical colours.

The stretched meadows with passing cloudscapes, which she overlooks from her studio, served as inspiration for this limited edition artwork series, titled 'In Hoarizon' (the Frisian word for ‘horizon’), which shows the potential of vibrant biodiversity in its full glory. The unique artworks (35 x 45 cm unframed / 47 x 55 cm with frame) were available for purchase in July 2024 through the Art Fix platform.
