Claudy Jongstra, 'Seasonal Gems', De Tuinkamer Priona Tuinen 2025

Seasonal Gems

'Seasonal Gems' compliments the seasonal, plant-based menus at restaurant De Tuinkamer, which chef Alwin Leemhuis sources from the surrounding botanical gardens at Priona Tuinen.

Since their first collaboration 10 years ago, Claudy Jongstra's artwork has contributed to the botanical abundance of the dining experience at De Tuinkamer, featuring exceptional quality fibers and vibrant, plant-based colours sourced from Jongstra's own biodynamic garden.

Jongstra's biodynamic textile label, Loads Collection, created custom upholstery for the restaurant's seating with the first textile in the world to receive biodynamic certification from Demeter.

Grown and woven by Loads Partner Sekem, the 100% Egyptian cotton textile is naturally dyed at Studio Claudy Jongstra with plant-based colours. The warm colour palette is derived from biodynamic sunflower, onion skin, coreopsis, and chamomile grown by Loads Partner farms Entheos in Spain, Fleur Couleur in Belgium, and Odin De Beersche Hoeve in The Netherlands.

Loads Collection upholstery for De Tuinkamer also features Jongstra's Nieuw Leids Laken 'Woven Herbarium', a special edition collaboration with Museum De Lakenhal, woven by EE Labels.
